+ How to travel with Jetstar with scuba diving equipment?

Special baggage

Scuba diving equipment is considered bulky items as Jetstar baggage regulation. Scuba diving equipment must be carried as checked baggage. It must be prepared as below:

- Compressed air/gas tanks must be empty with the regulator tap open.
- Knives must be carried in checked baggage.
- Spear guns must be unloaded in checked baggage.
+ How to bring firearms for hunting and sports on board of Jetstar Airlines?

Special baggage

Passengers please note tha firearms cannot be carried in flights of Jetstar Asia (3K) or Jetstar Japan (GK).

The airline may accept carrying firearms for hunting and sports in flights of Jetstar (JQ). If accepted by the airlines, those items mus bet packed as national and international regulations. Approval may be withheld at our sole discretion.

Applications for the carriage of firearms and ammunition for hunting or sporting purposes must be submitted at least two working days before your scheduled departure date.
+ What kinds of musical instruments can I bring on board of JQ?

Special baggage

Passenger can bring some music instruments in the cabin as following regulations:

Small instruments with maximum weight of 7kg, and the sum of three dimensions of 85cm x 36cm x 23cm. maximum size of 85cm: unlimited in per aircraft.

Large instruments with maximum weight of 15kg, and the sum of three dimensions of 120cm x 40cm x 30cm: 2 per aircraft.

Extra-large instruments with maximum weight of 15kg, and the sum of three dimensions of 140cm x 45cm and 50cm: 1 per aircraft on the A320/A321/Boeing 787** Dreamliner.
+ How to store small instruments in flights of Jetstar Airways?

Special baggage

Small instruments with maximum weight of 7kg, and the sum of three dimensions of 85cm x 36cm x 23cm: unlimited in per aircraft.

If your instrument is within the maximum weight and size dimensions you may store it in the cabin overhead lockers.
If it is larger than the specified dimensions, you must purchase a seat for the instrument or it must travel as checked-baggage.

If you intend to store it in the cabin overhead locker and not in a seat, the instrument weight counts as part of your carry-on baggage allowance.
+ How to protect big instruments in Jetstar flights?

Special baggage

Big instruments with maximum weight of 15kg, and the sum of three dimensions of 120cm x 40cm x 30cm: 2 per aircraft.

Passengers can bring instruments to the cabin but you must purchase seat for your instruments. The case must have a handle so it can be strapped to a seat and secured safely. If your instrument weighs more than 15kg, it will be carried as checked-baggage.
+ How to store extra-large instruments in flights of Jetstar Pacific?

Special baggage

Extra-large instruments with maximum weight of 15k, and the sum of three dimensions of 140cm x 45cm x 50cm: 1 per aircraft on the A320/A321/Boeing 787** Dreamliner.

Passengers can bring instruments in the cabin but you must purchase seat for your instruments. The case must have a handle so it can be strapped to a seat and secured safely. If your instrument weighs more than 15kg or you are flying with the A330/Boeing 787** Dreamliner, it must be carried as checked-baggage.
+ What kinds of dangerous goods can be carried by JetstarPacific Airlines?

Special baggage

JetstarPacific Airlines only accepts limited dangerous goods as baggage:

- Corrosives
- Gases
- Flammable liquids
- Organic peroxides
- Toxic substances
- Radioactive materials
- Lithium batteries
- Explosives
- Miscellaneous including asbestos, dry ice engines
- Flammable solids
- Oxidizing materials
- Infectious substances
- Magnitised materials
- Oxygen

Dangerous Goods must not be carried in (or as) checked baggage or carry-on baggage. Each passenger can bring total liquids not exceeding 2kg or 2 liters, each bottle not exceeding 0.5kg or 0.5 liter.
+ What are regulations of Jetstar Airlines on wine, alcohol or other alcoholic beverages?

Special baggage

Alcohol and other alcoholic beverages (buy in free-tax stores at the airports) are carried in checked baggage under Jetstar Airlines regulations on dangerous items.

Alcoholic beverages must be packed in standards, content of over 24% but less than 7% alcohol. The bottle capacity is not more than 5 liter and each passenger can bring no more than 5 liter. Alcoholic beverages with below 24% alcohol is not limited.
+ Can I bring devices with lithium batteries in my travel with Jetstar?

Special baggage

Electrical or electronic devices (watch, laptop, camera, cell phone) using lithium batteries are acceptable in Jetstar flights, if they are used for personal purposes. Spare batteries must be packed and inflammable. The batteries must be carried in hand baggage. Regulations on spare batteries:

(a) Lithium metal or lithium alloy batteries, lithium: not exceeding 2g; or
(b) Lithium ion battery below 101Wh can be carried as hand baggage if paked separately and inflammable, 2 batteries/ passenger.
+ In case baggage is lost or damaged on Jetstar Pacific Airlines, what should I do?

Mishandled baggage

If you arrive and discover your carry-on or checked-baggage is lost or damaged, go to the Jetstar baggage counter or service desk and let us know right away. Check the status of your delayed bag or update your details. You can also contact Baggage Services by telephone number 1900 1550, or email [email protected]

Passengers must a baggage claim in writing and in time limited by international law and conventions on the responsibility of airlines in flights of Jetstar Pacific (BL):

- 24 hours for damaged baggage
- 3 days for delayed baggage from when the baggage is made available to you

If you make a claim involving damaged baggage we may need to see the item before the claim can be approved.
