Hand baggage of passengers may be checked at the boarding pass to ensure size and weight limits. In case your hand baggage is over limits, passengers must pay additional charges.

Jetstar hand baggage allowance of depends on the class of tickets.

Passengers with economy tickets can bring hand baggage of a small piece and a bigger piece with total weight of 7kg.

In Jetstar flights, passengers with business tickets can bring two pieces with weight of 7kg each piece (14kg in total).

If your hand baggage is over 7kg, the excess will be considered check baggage. Passenger then must buy checked baggage allowance.

- Jetstar (JQ), Jetstar Asia (3K) or Jetstar Pacific (BL): maximum weight of 7kg, maximum size of 23cm (width) + 34cm (height) + 48cm (length) for hand baggage.

- Jetstar Japan: maximum weight of 10kg, maximum size of 23cm (width) + 36cm (height) + 56cm (length) for hand baggage.

When flying with Jetstar, infant without seat in the flight cannot bring baggage. However personal items and foods for infant in the flight and other items like infant's carrying basket or bassinet will be accepted without fee.

Size restrictions on bulky baggage in Jetstar Airways flights are as below:

Domestic and short-haul international flights with Airbus A320, A321 and Boeing B737: 1.9meters

International long haul flights with A330: 2.77 meters

If the bulky items exceed the limitation of the checked baggage in the ticket price, fee of excess baggage will be applied.

Passengers with bulky baggage must check in at the airport. All bulky items must be packed as regulations before checking in.

Total weight of your bulky items and baggage must be within your baggage allowance. No single item can weigh more than 32kg. Pack bulky items appropriately before you arrive at check-in.

Sports equipment can be carried in flights of Jetstar including surfboards, bicycles, skis, golf clubs, snowboards. All equipment must be packed as regulations of the airline.

Bicycle must be packed in a bike bag or bike box. Jetstar does not provide boxes or bags. Therefore, passenger must prepare your bike for travel.

Your bicycle must have deflated tires, detached pedals, handle bars fixed parallels to the frame, a detached front wheel if the bike is longer than 180cm and fixed inside the pack alongside the rear wheel.

Tandems, recumbent bicycles and bike trailers that meet requirements can also travel. Fold up bikes can travel and do not need to travel in a bike pack. If the bike pack constitutes excess baggage, charges will apply.

Surfboards, skis and snowboards are bulky baggage. Surfboards, skis and snowboards must be packed in a bag designed for that equipment.

Passenger should remove surfboard fins and store in an enclosed compartment in the bag or tape to the board.

In flights with A320, A321 hoặc B737, the surfboard (including the surfboard bag) must not exceed 1.9 meters, and 2.77 meters in flight with A330 hoặc 787**.

Some Boeing 787 Dreamliner flights are subject to government and regulatory approval.

Fishing rods are considered bulky baggage. Passengers with those items must follow Jetstar regulations on bulky baggage. Fishing rods must be protect during the flight. Passengers should store them in a PVC cylinder with screw ends from fishing store, PVC plumbing or electrical tubing. Fishing rods must not be bound with baggage.
