Nowadays, Ho Chi Minh City (formerly known as Saigon) is definitely famous for being the center of Vietnamese business and entrepreneurs. People said that incomes of residents in this city are twice as much as that in Hanoi. Therefore, its figure is changing time by time, reflecting the sharp influx of foreign trade activities within the last decade. Despite all of the modernity and glory, some parts of Ho Chi Minh city are still the same as in the past such as: Cho Lon (Big Market) or Saigon’s Chinatown. Hence, from here, you can see numerous of elegant temples and pagodas. The remains of French are still here - the city has many street cafes and patisseries where fresh croissants are purchased. Moreover, the Cu Chi Tunnels were pivotal to the Communist’s victory over the Americans as they allowed the Viet Cong to control a large rural area around Saigon. At this height, the depth of some parts of the tunnel system had different levels, stretching over 200 km from Saigon to the Cambodian border.

Pick you up at meeting points or hotels, start in the downtown of Ho Chi Minh for touring along the famous Dong Khoi street, passing by the Opera House, Ho Chi Minh City Hall, Notre Dame Cathedral & Central Post Office and Independent Palace.
Lunch at a local restaurant.
We are heading to Hoc Mon District to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, which is 70 kilometers from the downtown of Ho Chi Minh City to the northwest. The Cu Chi Tunnels system had been created from 1948 to assist Viet Minh in combat with the French Army.
